Inspired by the artistic nature of the island which gave birth to several painters and sculptors, Tinos Portraits is a complex of three independent residences, aiming at capturing the eternal characteristics and identity of the island.
The complex is located 5 km away from Tinos port and town, only 150m away from Ballos beach and at a convenient distance from several villages. It is comprised of three independent residences named after the three districts of Tinos villages, that form the essence of the island’s identity: Ano Meria (or Maison Rouge), the medieval aspect of the island; Exo Meria (or Maison Bleu), the marble villages; Kato Meria (or Maison Beige), the villages of the island’s meadow and of the pigeon homes.
The residences are structured on two or three levels intending to offer to visitors high aesthetics and affordable luxury facilities, including central air-conditioning and heating system, broadband Wi-Fi and (32”,42” or 50”) tv sets that can be connected to visitors’ own Netflix, Apple tv or other internet streaming services. Their internal is shaped with the characteristic rounded corners of Cycladic architecture and built-in furniture. The rooms and common spaces have large verandas at all levels with a view to the sea and the sandy Ballos beach. The bay is protected from the famous summer northern winds of the Aegean (the meltemia), it has natural shade and the trendy beach bar Bianco.
